Benveroy was officially registered in 2012, we had only 1 product available which, though it lowered fuel consumption, was mostly geared towards carbon emission reduction.
Word quickly got round that we had an easy, affordable solution for Industries and Private Individuals to get ahead of what we all feared (and still do) would eventually result in heavily enforced carbon reduction strategies.
We were soon approached by the South African Aviation Industry representatives, who informed us that they were facing immense challenges with fuel contamination, stability, consumption, fuel system maintenance & emissions reduction.
However, there was a ‘catch’. There was (and still is) only one range of products that carry FAA & IATA approval as well as the required MilSpec & ASTM. It wasn’t our product at that stage…
They further informed us that it was the range of Aviation products offered by Hammonds / BIOBOR, based in the USA and they were finding it impossible to establish a reliable, consistent supply of these into South Africa.
Benveroy immediately jumped at the opportunity to meet their needs.
We approached Hammonds / BIOBOR USA, followed required protocol and were accepted by Hammonds / BIOBOR as their ‘Official Agent for Sub-Saharan Africa & The Indian Ocean Islands’.
We were extremely excited to see that their product/service range was far more extensive than we previously realised.
A new, exciting horizon of possibilities opened up for us and our clients, which now includes a wide range of safe, effective fuel enhancement / testing products & related support services and systems.
A VISION
Born from Urgency
In 2006, the world turned its attention to the climate crisis following the release of Al Gore’s documentary, ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. Phrases like “greenhouse gasses” and “hole in the ozone layer” were no longer technical jargon—they became everyday concerns.
By 2010, the South African Government responded with its National Climate Change Response Green Paper (Notice 1083 of 2010), acknowledging the threat of emissions and outlining a strategy to address them. This localised the global issue and signalled that change was no longer optional—it was urgent.
It was in this context that Benveroy was officially registered in 2012. Since our launch, we have vastly expanded our product range and services, offering our clients complete, effective, reliable fuel enhancement solutions.
From Local Beginnings
to Global Partnerships
Shortly after our launch, we were approached by leaders in South Africa’s aviation industry. They were battling fuel contamination, instability, rising consumption, and emissions. But there was a catch—only one range of aviation fuel additives met the international standards (FAA, IATA, MilSpec, and ASTM). And it wasn’t ours—yet.
These products came from Hammonds / BIOBOR USA, but consistent supply into South Africa had proven nearly impossible. Benveroy saw the opportunity and acted fast. We approached Hammonds / BIOBOR, followed protocol, and were appointed as the Official Agent for Sub-Saharan Africa & the Indian Ocean Islands.
This partnership introduced us to a far broader and more advanced product offering than we’d imagined. Our scope and impact were about to grow exponentially.
